The AXion25 (former Corby25) is a fast sailing racing boat, it is built and designed to sail with great upwind performance. Due to her relative high weight (2t) 50 % in the keel she is very stiff, holding all sails up to 20kts true wind, she reaches an apparent upwind angle of about 17 degrees and therefore goes higher than most of her competitors. Due to the inertia created she is fast in light and heavy wind conditions.
The deck layout is simple with high specification Harken and Spinlock deck gear to give easy control and four winches as standard for genoa, spinnaker and halyards control. One set of primary winches on the side deck and one set on the coachroof top.
The AXion25 behaves more than a small yacht than a 25ft boat, and therefore is safe even with reduced crew. This enables her to be a fast and safe family cruiser too.
